LIME WIRE PIRATE
LimeWire Pirate Edition (LPE) is a resurrected version of the LimeWire software.LPE is the same as the LimeWire Pro software, but without the adware, advertising, andbackdoors present in LimeWire. The Ask toolbar integration was also removed along with dependencies to LimeWire servers and remote settings. The software supports Windows, Linux and Mac, and its source code is available on GitHub.
Two days after LimeWire was shut down by the RIAA, a hacker with the alias of "Meta Pirate" created LimeWire Pirate Edition. Lime Wire LLC has stated that: "We are not behind these efforts. LimeWire does not authorize them. LimeWire is complying with the Court’s October 26, 2010 injunction." The LimeWire team, after being accused by the RIAA of being complicit in the development of LimeWire Pirate Edition, swiftly acted to shut down the Pirate Edition website. A court order was issued to close down the website, and, to remain anonymous, Meta Pirate did not contest the order.

LimeWire Pirate Edition is free, open source software based on the final beta version of the popular LimeWire filesharing application. After Lime Wire LLC stopped distributing its software in October 2010, a horde of piratical monkeys climbed aboard the abandoned ship, mended its sails, polished its cannons and released it FREE to the community to help keep the Gnutella network alive.
LimeWire Pirate Edition is pure P2P software; it does not depend on any servers operated by Lime Wire LLC or other companies. It does not include any adware or spyware, and it cannot be remotely monitored or shut down.
Announcing the first release of LimeWire Pirate Edition:
- Based on LimeWire 5.6 beta
- Turbo-charged downloads
- Optimized search results
- AVG Anti-Virus
- Built-in torrent search
- No toolbars, adware or spyware
- No connection problems

Known Issues:
.NET Programmability Support is required
by Microsoft Mathematics Add-in
In addition to Microsoft Word 2007, Word 2010, or OneNote 2010, the Microsoft
Mathematics Add-in requires .NET Programmability Support (commonly
installed by default). If it isn’t installed on your computer, you can use
Office Setup to install this component for both Word and OneNote.
In the Office Installation Options dialog, this is located
under the heading for the individual Office program. Click the plus sign (+) to
expand the heading. For more information about installing Office components,
see Office help.
The appearance of 3D graphs is not
optimal
Installation of Microsoft DirectX is recommended because it
takes advantage of hardware acceleration options, such as video cards. By
default, Microsoft Mathematics Add-in tries to use DirectX rendering for 3D
graphs. However, if your computer does not have DirectX installed or cannot use
the technology, Microsoft Mathematics uses an alternative rendering format.
Equations can’t be inserted in notebooks
that are in the OneNote 2007 file format
When you upgrade from OneNote 2007 to OneNote 2010, notebooks
aren’t automatically updated to the new OneNote 2010 file format. The feature
to insert math equations is available only in OneNote 2010 format notebooks. If
you can’t insert equations, you may need to convert your notebook to OneNote
2010 format. For information about how to do this, see OneNote Help.
Graphs in Word documents can’t be edited
after saving
On computers with Microsoft Office 2007 Service Pack 2 (SP2)
installed, there may be times you can’t edit a graph you inserted in a Word
document. When the document is saved, Word doesn’t save the variables used to
create the graph in the correct format. The result is a graph that can’t be
edited after the document is saved.
A
Microsoft Office Word 2007 hotfix package fixes this issue and others. Details
about this hotfix are available in Microsoft Knowledge Base article 970942 (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/970942/).
If a calculation appears stalled and you
choose to end the task, unsaved changes can’t be recovered
If a calculation takes more than five seconds, the operating
system may prompt you to end the task because the program appears to have
stopped responding. If you end the task, any unsaved changes in the document
are lost and Word closes. However, if you choose to wait instead of ending the
task, the calculation should finish without error.
Microsoft Mathematics Add-in can’t open
or edit graphs created with other add-ins
Microsoft Mathematics Add-in can’t open or edit graphs
created with Microsoft Math Add-in for Microsoft Office Word 2007. If you have
a Word document that contains a graph created with that add-in, you may see the
following error message if you try to edit the graph:
The current expression
contains a word or symbol that Microsoft Mathematics Add-in does not recognize
or cannot evaluate.
To recreate the graph, right-click the equation or expression
used to create the graph, and then click Graph.
Installing Microsoft Mathematics Add-in
for Word and OneNote uninstalls previous versions
If you install the Microsoft Mathematics Add-in on a computer
that also has Microsoft Math Add-in for Microsoft Office Word 2007 installed,
Microsoft Mathematics Add-in treats the installation as an upgrade and replaces
the older version of the add-in.
